You have limited control over where your stock goes unless you use the Inventory Placement Service to ship to a single location. Even then, Amazon may redistribute your stock internally after receiving it.

If you are in the south of England and Amazon sends your shipment to Scotland, or vice versa, your shipping costs will be higher. This is one reason central UK locations have an advantage for FBA shipping — the maximum distance to any fulfilment centre is minimised.

During Q4, fulfilment centres operate at maximum capacity. Amazon may restrict inbound shipments during the busiest periods or assign shipments to fulfilment centres that would not normally receive your stock. Getting your Q4 inventory into Amazon early (by October) avoids the worst of these capacity constraints.
