UK FBA Prep for International Sellers

You don't need to be in the UK to sell on Amazon UK. Here's how international sellers work with a UK-based prep centre to run their FBA business remotely.

Selling on Amazon UK From Overseas

Amazon UK is one of the largest marketplaces in Europe, and you don't need a UK address or a UK passport to sell on it. Plenty of sellers based in Ireland, the Netherlands, the US, and elsewhere run profitable Amazon UK businesses without ever setting foot in the country. Their suppliers ship stock to a UK prep centre, the prep centre handles everything from there, and the seller manages it all remotely.

It's a setup that works well — but only if you've got the right prep partner. When you're thousands of miles away from your inventory, you need to trust that your stock is being received properly, prepped accurately, and shipped to Amazon on time. You can't pop in to check on things. You're relying entirely on communication, transparency, and the systems your prep centre has in place.

What International Sellers Need From a Prep Centre

Clear, Responsive Communication

When you're in a different time zone, waiting hours for a reply about a shipment issue isn't just inconvenient — it costs you money. International sellers need a prep centre that communicates clearly and responds quickly. At Precision, we use Discord as our primary communication channel with all clients, including those overseas. Every client gets their own private channels where they can message us directly, check on shipment progress, and get real-time updates. It works across time zones because messages are there waiting for us when we start our day, and replies are waiting for you when you start yours.

Full Visibility of Your Stock

If you can't walk into the warehouse and see your inventory, you need another way to know exactly what's happening with it. Through our client portal, you can see what stock has arrived, what's been prepped, what's been shipped, and what's still in progress. You get the same level of visibility as a local client — the only difference is you're looking at it from a different country.

Hands-Off Operation

The whole point of using a prep centre as an international seller is that you don't want to be involved in the physical logistics. You want to source your products, have them delivered to your prep centre, and know that everything from that point forward is handled. That means receiving, inspection, labelling, poly bagging, boxing, and shipping to Amazon — all without you needing to do anything beyond creating your shipping plan in Seller Central.

At Precision, that's exactly how it works for our international clients. Stock arrives at our unit in Atherstone, we receive it, confirm the quantities and condition, prep it to Amazon's standards, and ship it out. You don't need to arrange couriers, print labels, or coordinate with Amazon's fulfilment centres. We handle the lot.

How Suppliers Ship to Precision

Most international sellers source from UK-based wholesalers and distributors who ship directly to the prep centre. Your supplier sends the stock to our address in Atherstone, and we take it from there. Some sellers also source from overseas manufacturers who ship to the UK — in those cases, the stock arrives at our unit after clearing customs, and we handle it the same way.

All we need is a heads-up that a delivery is coming so we can match it to your account when it arrives. Drop us a message on Discord with the supplier name, expected delivery date, and what's in the shipment, and we'll make sure it's received and logged properly.

Invoicing and Payment

Keeping finances simple matters even more when you're operating across borders. Precision invoices monthly — at the end of each month, you get a single invoice covering all the prep work completed during that period. Payment is due within 5 days of the new month. No complicated payment structures, no per-shipment billing, just one clear invoice per month.

For shipping, we use Amazon Partnered Carrier rates through your Amazon account for standard shipments, so that cost is handled directly by Amazon. The only shipping costs that appear on your Precision invoice are for dangerous goods, where Amazon doesn't offer a partnered carrier and we arrange shipping on your behalf.

Currency note Precision invoices in GBP. If you're paying from a non-UK bank account, your bank will handle the currency conversion. Many international sellers use multi-currency accounts (like Wise or Revolut) to keep conversion costs low.

Why It Works

The sellers we work with overseas don't feel like they're at a disadvantage compared to UK-based clients. They get the same service, the same turnaround times, the same communication. The only thing different is the distance — and with the right systems in place, that distance doesn't matter.

If you're an international seller thinking about entering the UK market, or you're already selling here and looking for a prep centre that actually makes remote management easy, get in touch. We'll walk you through exactly how it works.
